Application development has started

After a first year mainly spent on selecting and optimising the proper evaluation methods and

giving input to other Work Packages on the expectations of the end-users, WP4 partners started the proper application development work.

All aspects of the application spectrum are being covered; food, feed, specialties and materials based on microalgae or microalgae metabolites will be developed in the coming 3 years. Both the quality and the quantity of the supply of raw material has been agreed with the other Work Package Partners.

In parallel, the database containing market data on various algae metabolites and non-algae-based alternatives has been moving towards completion and was expected to be ready by end of 2015.
